Turf Australia Perfect Patch of Green Program 2013
Landcare Australia has teamed up with Turf Australia to help refresh, rebuild, or revive 15 grounds across Australia with natural turf via the Turf Australia Junior Landcare Perfect Patch of Green Program. The program highlights Turf Australia’s commitment to making a positive difference to the environment for schools and youth groups to enjoy and experience.
How to apply:
Schools, students and teachers are invited to complete an Expression of Interest form and tell us how natural turf will enhance their environment and why their school ground, recreational and/or sports area will benefit from a real green makeover. We want to know how natural turf will make a positive difference to your school or group including benefits to students, children or young people
- Download and read the “Perfect Patch of Green” Focus & Criteria document
- Download and complete the “Perfect Patch of Green” EOI Application Form
- Describe your school or group and tell us how natural turf will benefit children or young people
- Include 3 photos of the area that you would like to see improved with natural turf
- Email your completed EOI form by the 1st July 2013 to grants@landcareaustralia.com.au
Who can apply?
This program is only open to schools, community and youth groups and or organisations that are considered “Not for Profit” such as:
- Schools including preschools, kindergartens, primary and high schools across Australia.
- Youth groups including Scouts, Girl Guides and other community organisations that involve and support young people as a key component of their activities and services.
What areas/sites can the school or group request to be considered for the Perfect Patch of Green Program?
Schools and groups are invited to nominate an outdoor area– that does not exceed 600 m2 in total and which will benefit children or students such as:
- Recreational or play areas
- School grounds
- Sports area
Does the Perfect Patch of Green Program include site preparation and or funding for associated costs?
No. Organising the site preparation work including any associated costs is the sole responsibility of the school/group and will need to be carried out by the successful recipients. Turf Australia and their members will provide in-kind support only – in the form of natural turf and installation of the turf at the site. This program does not include any cash funding to assist with site preparation costs.
