Junior Landcare – Going the Distance

The Junior Landcare – Going the Distance competition has now closed

The Junior Landcare – Going the Distance competition was held over Term 2, 2012, specifically for students of School of Distance Education schools in Queensland from Years 4-7.

Students were to explore the theme ‘Junior Landcare – Going the Distance’ by creating a digital research project addressing a local environmental issue. Distance education students know what it’s like to take the extra step in their education, be it studying from a remote station or working independently in the city. We asked them to go the distance for the environment by telling us what concerns them in their local area, and tell us they did! Junior Landcare was overwhelmed by the entries received from across the state and was very impressed with the environmental knowledge and creativity shown in the presentations.
